FAQ’s

What is Incontinence?

Urinary incontinence means an individual cannot hold in their urine and can be described as involuntary leakage.

Does EMSELLA help with incontinence in Men?

Emsella is now FDA approved for men. In our experience, we have seen encouraging results. Some men require a liner or small pad for small amounts of leakage after radical prostatectomy. These men may leak during a heavy work out or towards the end of the day. Emsella has helped the majority of these men return to continence.

How often do I need treatment?

We recommend that patients have at least 6 treatments. The muscles must be conditioned by remaining consistent with your treatment. In time this allows your muscles to strengthen.

What can cause urinary incontinence?

Urinary Incontinence is usually caused by problems with the muscles and nerves that help the bladder hold or pass urine.

How long is the EMSELLA treatment?

Typically 1 session will take about 30 minutes and then you will be scheduled to come in for further treatment sessions.

How quickly will I see and feel the results of EMSELLA?

You may feel results just after one treatment but it will continue to become more effective as more treatments are done.
