Melissa Kempf, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician and urgent care specialist in San Antonio, Texas. She serves patients as a provider and the medical director of Injury and Health Urgent Care.
Dr. Kempf was born and raised in San Antonio and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She remained there through medical school and spent time studying at both the Lubbock and El Paso campuses. After residency, Dr. Kempf spent three years in the United States Air Force, stationed at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi. She deployed to Turkey during this time, providing ER coverage for active duty personnel and their families.
After the Air Force, Dr. Kempf moved back to San Antonio to be closer to her family and the community she loves so dearly. She is certified through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). In addition to several post-graduate programs, Dr. Kempf continually researches and stays updated on the latest developments in the field of medicine.
